Beginning investors of the North-West will be able to upgrade their skills at the “Venture Academy”

Sber and the Moscow Innovation Cluster announced the launch of a new stream of a free training program for beginning venture investors from the North-West. The program is aimed at Russian investors, entrepreneurs, top managers of companies and anyone interested in developing competencies in the field of investing in technology startups.
The program includes a theoretical and practical block and is held mainly in an online format. Participants will learn how to search for startups, assess risks, form deals and syndicate them with other investors.
Upon completion of the training, novice venture investors will be able to immediately begin practice - participate in pitch sessions, where startups present innovative projects and raise funds for development, and also become participants in investment deals organized by experienced players. Syndication of deals will take place through Sber's online venture hub SberUnity .
The Venture Academy program has been implemented in Russia for four years now and has been successfully scaled up to the regions since 2024. Over the entire period of the program, more than 800 participants have been trained, who have invested over 500 million rubles in startups.
Together with Sber and with the support of regional partners, educational programs have already been implemented in Siberia, Tatarstan and the Urals.
